Title: Range Rover 2.8TDI Isuzu
Post by: monkeynuts on January 22, 2014, 01:51:57 PM
"Will confirm more details later when I have folder of paperwork to hand"

I still have far too many vehicles and am getting in "trouble" for have land rovers strewn all over the farm where my workshop is  :lol

This was bought in November for a runaround for Ellie to use as we're selling her 90 to recoup some funds....previous owner lost V5C day before I went to collect it, which turned into a faff, and I have only just got confirmation it will arrive in my name shortly.
So it's sat unused and we've bought a 400 TDI ibiza runaround instead  :roll

Range Rover Classic
Private plate included

Cypress Green

2.8 Isuzu TDI - frugal, noisy, reliable and very tuneable...
Auto
135k miles
10/11 months MOT
SORN'd currently
Full leather
dog guard

It has clearly been loved at some point and the conversion is very neat.
It is not mint and has had various body repairs underneath, but is nice and solid and covered in old engine oil (not my preferred underseal method!)
Speedo usual RRC erratic affair
Interior clean for age and seats remarkably good.
Most of the electrics work,
aircon removed
heater great,
immobiliser works, has two chip stick thingys
2 sets of keys
tyres are all 75%
looks like recent discs and pads
neat intercooler setup
full width radiator kept

I'd like to see back 1800 for it which i think is quite reasonable and is near enough another loss leader  :doh

Oh and don't forget the quilt effort headlining using only the finest drawing pins...

That would be a good buy. Not for me though, sorry. To far away and an auto. Same engine as in my 90 and except for replacing the head gasket and injectors, trouble free. Nearly 190,000 miles now. Don't agree with the noisy though. Mines quieter than any 200-300tdi I know.

What year is it? Tax in Ireland is going to make a decision for me before anything else :)

Cheers

Forgot to say I drove it down from Bradford with no issues other than blowing back box, which is being replaced as soon as new one turns up.

I'd be tempted by that if it was a manual even after all I have said about tractor engines in Range Rovers over the years :-) Looks lovely Sam  :up

Will :-)

Just to add V5C here and all sorted, currently SORN.
Rear exhaust section fitted.
Will be on ebay this evening and needs to go as despite having a "clear-out" I've managed to acquire another old 2dr and a V8 110 CSW which will appear in a weeks time - it's an addiction I tell you! :lol

Now taxed and a certain forum member has borrowed it for a couple of weeks.
I think he quite likes it....
Price is 1900 with the tax, more on ebay and I have had quite a bit of interest...

I do like it - a lot, as do my kids..

It's a good vehicle and is well worth the money

Oh she's lovely nearly swapped my 530 for one the other week but the inside was a mess. Looking to get a landy again now as it would suit the new driveway(other half agrees it would look better) and I miss them so much..  :mm
