The picture of the gearbox mainsheet doesn't show it too well but the shiny part is what was worn down on the teeth, there wasn't a lot left.

The Disco decided to spray everything underneath and the front of the trailer with oil, while darn sarf. It has now got new gearbox and transferbox oil seals. Also a new collar in there and 'O' ring. The threaded holes for the bolts that hold t/box to g/box go right through. So those bolts have had the threads treated to a sealer.
Hopefully no more oil leaks from that quarter.

Washed it. Now a nice clean white. Instead of a salty black.

Looks ok Prof. Better than the slippery plastic effort on my Td5.

Disco passed it's m.o.t. this morning.  :yay

Though for the first time in three years of ownership, two advisories. Off side and nearside rear brake pipes showing signs of corrosion.  :(

Replaced the bearing on my NEW Allmakes Aux drive belt tensioner.

Fitted new belt & tensioner, and it sounded like a budgie being strangled.

New belt, & 23 year old tensioner, all quiet :??

Disco's going in on Monday for repair of the damage done by running over the motorcycle. Been told by the body shop to empty it of it's contents before it goes in.

Did that this morning. Where does all the stuff come from? Three large shopping bags full of sundry items. Toolbox. Wellies and work boots. Waterproofs. Hi-vis jacket and vests. Maps, pens, note books and the list goes on. Some things I'd forgot were in it.

 What's in yours?

New central locking/alarm sensor fitted today. No more opening drivers door, diving inside and get key as near as I can to the sensor in the centre of the roof, to stop the alarm.

Neighbours will be pleased as well.   :cheesy

I dread to think what is mine although it is a dumping ground at present.

Did all of that stuff come out of the glove box?

Drove the Disco for the fourth time in six days, after being unable to in six weeks cos of a pulled ligament/tendon in my right leg. Can't drive far, the most I've managed is nine miles at once. Gets a bit painful, but good to be able to drive that far.  :)

Power steering pump changed today. Steering was getting heavy. Wasn't sure if it was down to the 260,000 miles it's done or me getting weaker.  :roll
Steering's a tad better but still not spot on. A bit series Land Rover. My local LR specialist is going to change the steering box on Thursday for a good second hand one. New ones are very, very expensive and no-one seems to recondition them anymore.  :(

Changing the steering box helped, but a bit tight on full lock turning left. Suspect replacement SB. New one fitted and the steering is like new.  :)
Bit of a hole in my piggy bank though. I do find it rather annoying paying some one to do the things I used  to do myself.  :(

Fitted the new front passenger door regulator today I've had for two weeks. I did try a few days ago, but kneeling down was awkward.
Young lad at the farm round the corner, has a nice big workshop complete with lift. Made the job a doddle standing up.   :yay
